WWOOF’s First-Ever International PHOTO CONTEST! 🌿✨

For the first time ever, WWOOF is hosting an international PHOTO CONTEST, and we want to see your best shots from your WWOOFing adventures! Whether you’re a WWOOFer or a Host, now is your chance to showcase the magic of WWOOF through your lens.

Prizes & Recognition

Up to five “Top Photographers” will be selected as winners. Unlike traditional contests, this is not about a single best photo—photographers can submit anywhere between 5 – 10 photos (10 being the maximum)! 

Each winner will receive:
🎁 A free WWOOF membership of their choice*—you can also extend your current membership or gift it to someone else!

📸 An individual feature on all of our social media platforms & website (wwoof.net)!

*Membership must be selected from any WWOOF group within the Federation of WWOOF Organisations (FoWO). To view the full list of participating countries, explore our “Destinations” on the map.

How to Participate

To submit your photos, please do the following:
1. Share to social media: Tag us @wwoof either on Instagram or Facebook (or both!) and use our contest hashtag #WWOOFPhotoContest & hashtag #WWOOF
2. Email all photo submissions directly to [email protected]

Keep in mind, the more likes and engagement the merrier—so rally your friends to support your photos!

📸 What We’re Looking For

The best WWOOF photos capture the essence of exchange, agroecology, and community as well as authenticity! Consider these elements when selecting your submissions:
🌾 The WWOOFing exchange: Show interactions between Hosts and WWOOFers
🐑 Farm life in action: Tasks, projects, animals, and folks engaged in daily routines
🌱 Getting your hands dirty: Working with the land, gardening, harvesting
👩‍🌾 Community moments: Mealtime gatherings, storytelling, friendships
🌄 Connection to nature: Landscapes, sunsets, peaceful farm scenes

Pro Tips:
✔️ Ensure your photos have proper lighting and are in focus
✔️ Include a short story or caption about the moment captured. Be sure to note the country or location of where it was taken.
✔️ Make it uniquely WWOOF—highlight what makes the experience special!

Terms & Conditions

  • Photos must be related to WWOOF experiences
  • Please only submit high-resolution photos (minimum 3000px on the longest side, 300 dpi) in JPEG or PNG format
  • Both past and present WWOOFers and Hosts can submit a maximum of 10 photos per entry. 
  • You must have a valid WWOOF profile (active or inactive) with at least one confirmed visit in your history
  • Please include the link to the host profile and specify the country or countries where you WWOOFed in your email upon submission. 
  • By submitting, you confirm that you are the original author of the photo and have permission from any recognizable people in it (or parental consent for minors)
  • Winning photos will be used as official press pictures for WWOOF. By submitting photos to this contest, you grant the Federation of WWOOF Organisations an irrevocable, royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display and perform publicly, and otherwise use, as well as authorize others to use, your photos for any promotional or advertising purpose and in any format.
  • Submissions outside of the contest period will not be considered
