WWOOF Togo will celebrate 5 years anniversary by planting trees but they need a little help.
This year WWOOF Togo Association celebrates these 5 years. WWOOF Togo team decided to take an action:
In Togo, particularly in area with high agricultural production, deforestation of trees is anarchic. Deforestation entails the destruction of 2/3 of the forest. This imbalance of the environment is now the cause of the decline in rainfall in the region. This directly affects agricultural production and farmers’ incomes. This will lead to the total disappearance of the forest after 10 years.
WWOOF Togo team wants to produce and plant trees in public places (schools, hospital etc.) and surrounding forests. They set the objective of planting and maintaining 5.000 trees this year!
For this purpose, WWOOF Togo is launching the fundraising campaign. Campaign aim is to collect funds that will be used to purchase tree plants. To support planting action and contribute fight against global warming, WWOOF Togo invites you to join their campaign by clicking here.
- Names of all funders will be listed in schools after planting
- Photos and videos of the planting action will be posted on WWOOF Togo website and Facebook page
- Those who donate more than 50$, WWOOF Togo will give one year WWOOF Togo membership that will provide access to 37 organic farmers – WWOOF hosts in Togo.
